So what’s with all the stupidly wide and probably unnecessary transmission tunnels on just about every car which ends up cocooning you in a narrow passage? I’m looking to change my car soon and the only options I have appear to be either Hyundai or Kia. Will likely end up with the ioniq 5 but not exactly spoilt for choice 
I fully agree, a EV should take benefit from losing the transmission tunnel and freeing up cabin space.
Maybe that’s why I also drive an IONIQ 5…
